A MIGHTY MITE

Image
We're not talking tiny insects here.  We're talking ancient coins. There are lessons to be learned from the parable of the widow's mite  even today. Forget the current buzz, the Oh-woe-is-me! attitude. Forget how the downturn of global markets floods the headlines, how it affects you. The sound bites we listen to, then agree with, only defeat. Money is tied up in one's sense of worthiness. "If your money was a person, who would your money be?  A monster?"  asks Morgana Rae . Back to the widow and the parable... Hers was an attitude of affluence.  Her spirit was full, if not her coffers. T. Harv Eker said "The mark of true wealth is determined by how much one can give away." The widow gave her all, the measure of what was important to her.  Share Wisdom Freely. : Enjoy.

TRUTH

The truth is the end and aim of all existence, and the worlds originate so that the truth may come and dwell therein. Those who fail to aspire for the truth have missed the purpose of life. Blessed is he who rests in the truth, for all things will pass away, but the truth abideth forever. —Buddhism

Conscious?

Consciousness is the single most valuable thing on our planet. What is it?  How does one access it, or own it? Unrecognized, distorted, it makes one ill, diminished. Awakened, it allows for expansion and infinite life, life eternal. Who defines it?  Who benefits? Outside sources cannot define it.  It's definition can only be personal. Paradoxically, it benefits the sentient being most, and the entire universe as a whole. How can that be? Everything is energy!  Everything is connected through energy!  Everything! Positive energy, if it reaches critical mass, or chain reaction, spreads beyond recognizable boundaries. Negative energy, likewise, influences oneself, one's surroundings, the world. Why not lean toward the positive, or the side that promotes survival best? Why not allow, without fighting the existence of the other, both? Would doing so render all the angst neutral, causing an equanimity of flow?   Wouldn't such composure create a peacef
